Nirrin Technologies has appointed S.T. Japan as its exclusive distribution partner for the TALOSTM protein quantitation system in Japan. This partnership will see S.T. Japan acquire a TALOS demonstration system, enabling local evaluation capabilities for prospective customers to assess the technology with their own samples and workflows.
According to Bryan Hassell, PhD, CEO of Nirrin Technologies, Japan is a leading hub for biopharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing. S.T. Japan’s established reputation for facilitating the adoption of advanced analytical technologies through technical expertise and support positions it well to leverage TALOS in this dynamic market.
The TALOS system aims to streamline protein quantitation by replacing traditional variable pathlength UV workflows with a fixed-path near-infrared measurement approach. This innovation allows for rapid protein quantitation across a broad concentration range without the need for dilution or manual adjustments, which could significantly enhance efficiency in modern bioprocessing workflows. Takao Nakagawa, president of S.T. Japan, emphasized that TALOS could drive efficiencies and reduce complexity throughout the drug development and manufacturing continuum as Japan’s biopharmaceutical sector continues to grow.
