Parse Biosciences, a QIAGEN company, and Nomic Bio have partnered to generate Cascade, a 100 million cell foundational dataset aimed at understanding the human immune response. This dataset will provide pharmaceutical partners with cellular- and protein-level insights into immune biology, potentially accelerating the identification and validation of new drug targets.
Cascade is a multimodal, perturbation dataset that captures immune cell responses to treatment across multiple timepoints. It combines 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles with over 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles, documenting responses to more than 150,000 individual and combinatorial cytokine and drug perturbation conditions. By integrating transcriptomic and proteomic data, Cascade aims to fill a critical data gap for predictive, virtual cell models.
Leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including GSK, Pfizer, and Sanofi, have already committed as foundational partners, highlighting the demand for large-scale immune data in drug discovery. The data generation will occur in Parse’s GigaLab, capable of profiling billions of cells annually, paired with proteomic data from Nomic’s Omini 1000 platform.
