Swiss specialty pharmaceutical company Dipharma SA has acquired UK-based LogixX Pharma Limited, establishing a direct commercial foothold in the United Kingdom and creating a platform for future product launches targeting rare and chronic diseases. The acquisition brings together two companies with an established working relationship and a shared focus on developing and supplying treatments for patients with rare metabolic conditions.
LogixX, headquartered in Theale, Berkshire, has served as Dipharma’s UK commercial partner for nearly a decade, marketing its nitisinone product and, since 2023, sapropterin dihydrochloride. Founded in 2010, LogixX specializes in medicines for rare and metabolic diseases, supplying products to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and homecare providers.
Under the new ownership structure, LogixX will serve as the foundation for additional Dipharma product introductions in the UK. The group plans to draw on its development, regulatory and quality capabilities to support portfolio expansion and bring additional treatment options to patients with rare diseases. LogixX will retain its existing name and continue operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Dipharma.
