IDBS, a provider of cloud software for the biopharma sector, has announced a partnership with Alchemi, an applied AI company, to enhance the efficiency of regulatory filings through AI integration. This collaboration aims to connect AI agents to data captured within the IDBS Polar platform, which serves as a governed backbone for data throughout the drug development lifecycle. By ensuring that data is captured at the point of creation, Polar establishes a robust data foundation that supports the use of AI in regulated environments, according to a statement from IDBS.
The regulatory filing process has long been a significant bottleneck in biopharma, with CMC teams often spending extensive time compiling data and drafting reports. Current AI tools frequently disrupt compliance by extracting data from validated systems. However, by linking Alchemi’s specialized AI agents to Polar’s AI-ready data foundation, IDBS maintains the traceability and auditability of validated data, thereby addressing these compliance challenges.
<p.IDBS emphasizes that the integration allows for faster drafting of CMC technical reports, clinical study reports, and submission dossiers, which can now be routed through human-in-the-loop workflows for compliance review. Alchemi claims that its agents have enabled biopharma teams to produce such documents up to 70% faster. Anuj Chadha, co-founder of Alchemi, stated that their agents can draft regulatory filings in minutes while preserving compliance integrity, as they operate directly from governed data within Polar. IDBS's general manager, Pietro Forgione, highlighted the mission to accelerate the delivery of life-changing therapies, asserting that this partnership will facilitate critical regulatory milestones through the deployment of high-quality, compliant AI agents.
