Basel, Switzerland – Lonza and InduPro, a biotechnology company focused on next-generation therapeutics, have entered into a licensing agreement aimed at advancing innovative antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapies. This collaboration highlights a significant step in the development of targeted cancer treatments, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance therapeutic precision.
Under the agreement, Lonza will provide InduPro with a non-exclusive, worldwide license to its proprietary GlycoConnect, HydraSpace, and linker-payload technologies. These technologies are set to be integrated into the development of ADCs targeting up to two oncology antigens, thereby facilitating the creation of highly targeted cancer therapies that align with the industry’s shift towards precision medicine.
By combining InduPro’s bispecific antibody capabilities with Lonza’s advanced ADC platform, the partnership aims to address complex diseases like cancer, where effective targeting is crucial. Jan Vertommen, Vice President of Commercial Development at Lonza, emphasized the collaboration’s potential to enhance their ADC platform, while InduPro’s CEO, Prakash Raman, noted the agreement’s importance in advancing their pipeline of proximity-driven bispecific ADCs, ultimately seeking to improve patient outcomes in challenging therapeutic areas.
