Novo Nordisk is undertaking a significant rebranding initiative, adopting the name “Novo” for daily operations as part of its strategy for future growth. This shift includes a new brand platform and cultural principles aimed at enhancing organizational agility and focus.
The company’s tagline, “Lasting Health Starts Now,” emphasizes its commitment to immediate health improvements, aligning with evolving patient expectations. While Novo Nordisk A/S remains the legal entity, the rebranding seeks to foster better recognition and connection with patients by modernizing its visual identity, including a refreshed depiction of the Apis bull, a longstanding company symbol.
CEO Mike Doustdar highlighted that the rebrand reflects the company’s ongoing mission to address unmet healthcare needs in areas like obesity and diabetes. The initiative also introduces “The Novo Way,” a framework designed to streamline decision-making and operational efficiency, reinforcing the importance of scientific expertise and patient-centricity. Tania Sabroe, EVP of People, Organization & Corporate Affairs, noted that this cultural evolution aims to enhance consistency across various facets of the company, ultimately supporting its ambition to improve health outcomes globally.
