This collaboration includes an upfront payment of $1.5 million, with additional milestone payments contingent on the achievement of specified conditions.
The HiCB platform is designed to enhance productivity by integrating intensified continuous perfusion upstream processing with hybrid continuous downstream purification. This approach is expected to yield a significant increase in productivity compared to traditional fed-batch processes, thereby reducing the cost of goods and capital investment while enabling more agile production capabilities.
As a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Suzhou, China, Transcenta focuses on biologics discovery and has a pipeline of over ten therapeutic antibody candidates targeting oncology, bone, and kidney disorders. The partnership with WuXi Biologics positions Transcenta to leverage advanced CMC development support, potentially accelerating the commercialization of its innovative bioprocessing technologies.
